Druk My Niet, a wine farm just outside Paarl, launched their Find Art Collection on Thursday 5 May. We helped Druk My Niet with the setup of the Find Art Collection. On an annual basis one artist will be chosen to do the artwork for the three estate wines.

Georg Kirchner, owner of Druk My Niet, explained that through this wine collection the farm will be able to support and promote local artists.

The choice for the 2011 collection is Rene Twigge who recently participated in the Design Indaba. She used digital artwork with bright and neon colour pallets that perfectly reflected each wine.

The Find Art Collection of wines consists of 3 separate red varietals, namely:
Cabernet Sauvignon 2009 (Gold Wine Trophy
winner), Cabernet Franc 2009 and Malbec 2009

  • Make it easy for your customers to buy and keep buying

Customer experience is one of the key pillars of your brand’s identity. The way customers get hold of you or to get information from you, all form part of their perception of your brand. As simple as it sounds, you must make it easy for customers to do business with you – something that a lot of businesses get wrong.

Lower the barriers to purchasing from you. A great way to test this is to pretend you are a customer trying to buy from your own company at least once a month. What, as a customer, would you change? Another way to lower buying barriers is to simply ask your best customers how you can make doing business with you easier.

  • Your 30-second business pitch

    No comments yet

As business owner you want to take every opportunity to let people know what you do. It is important to place yourself in networking situations. Create a 30-second introduction for your business. People don’t want to listen to you trying to explain what you do. If you can pitch your business in 30 seconds people will get it quicker and remember it longer. Word-of-mouth is the best form of advertising. Give people a simplistic introduction to what you do and they will spread the word much easier.

Herewith some things you need to address in you introduction:

    • What is the business called?
    • What is the focus of your business?
    • How are your products/services changing people’s lives?
